With similar internal tech specs like the Transformer Prime, the Transformer Pad 300 doesn't get the brushed aluminium coating, but a durable plastic shell. Asus Transformer Pad 300 can be pre-ordered via Amazon US for $499.99.
The online retailer has a blue color option available for those interested about this Android-powered tablet. Spotted one day ago for a price under $500 and a release date for April 22th, Amazon has meantime changed that priced.
Offering customers two in one product with a detachable keyboard dock that transforms the tablet into a mini laptop, the Transformer Pad 300 is considered to be a high-end tablet that sports Android 4.0 ICS and a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and 1GB RAM.

 Aren't you getting tired of all these Android slates, all packing the dual-core Tegra 2 processor and practically the same specs, with only minor adjustments and design differences? It's getting tougher and tougher to differentiate tablets and it's clear that an upgrade is much needed. There were rumors before regarding the possibility that a slate packing the Kal-El (Tegra 3) chip would be launched sometime this year, and now it looks like that first tablet to sport Kal-El will be none other than the upcoming Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2, the successor to the popular 10.1-inch Transformer.
