We don't know exactly Lenovo's main reasons, but the company has decided to use another brand for its tablets series, using the IdeaTab instead of IdeaPad. A detail that could be insignificant for the final consumer.
What's more important is that a new Lenovo tablet has been released on the market. The IdeaTab S2109 includes a 9.7-inch IPS display with 1024×768 resolution, only 8.9mm at the thickest point, a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera, no rear one, quad speakers for stronger bass, useful ports such as: micro-SD, micro-USB and micro- HDMI.
Details about CPU or internal memory haven't been revealed, but we know it has Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board for a smooth and interactive experience. No word on pricing yet, but you may wanna take a look at the introductory video with the tablet.

The tablet features some pretty neat specs, and it's very similar to Lenovo's already available 10-incher, the IdeaPad K1.

The Lenovo IdeaPad K1 is a consumer-oriented Android 3.1 tablet which sounds very promising. It could turn out to be a tough competitor for other high-end tablets, including the Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or iPad 2, mainly because it packs some impressive features and at 32GB of storage space, it costs only $499, which is not at all expensive, compared to other tablets with similar specs.
