LG officially announced the Optimus Pad LTE tablet to join the crowded market. As you probably have gussed, it's a 4G LTE equipped tablet with an 8.9-inch display just like its predecessor.
Other internal tech specs include a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm processor, 1280 x 768p resolution IPS display, 32GB Internal storage, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera plus a 2MP front camera, 6800mAh battery and Android 3.2.
The company announced that it will first be available in South Korea.

 It's already been available in Europe for some time now, and it's coming to North America as well - the LG Optimus Pad. The 8.9-inch slate known under the name G-Slate in the US will be made available in Canada exclusively through Rogers, with or without a contract.

 Tomorrow is the big day for the T-Mobile G-Slate, it's the day when it finally gets launched. After a one-month delay, the 8.9-inch tablet will finally become available in stores this Wednesday, April 20th. Along with it, LG will also be launching its G2X dual-core smartphone.

 In case you were expecting the LG G-Slate to be released this March 23rd, as previously rumored, it looks like you'll have to wait another month to get your hands on the 8.9-inch tablet. Recent info shows that the LG G-Slate will be heading to T-Mobile this April 20th, with pre-orders likely to begin before that date. But you should also keep in mind that this date is also subject to change, due to the disaster in Japan.

 We're all waiting for the LG G-Slate to be released, but until then, since no price or firm release date have been made public, all we can do is wait. Said to be released this Spring, LG's innovative 3D-capable tablet will certainly make waves when it hits stores, as the G-Slate in the US, or as the Optimus Pad in Europe. A video was recently posted on Youtube, which presents the 8.9-inch tablet in all its glory.

The slate will be launched outside the US bearing the name Optimus Pad, as it was formally known, and it will be first seen at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona.

 We've heard that LG and T-Mobile were preparing a Honeycomb-running tablet together, but we had no real details available. Now T-Mobile has officially released full specs of their first 4G Android tablet, which is said to become available this Spring, March 23rd being a possible release date. Anyhow, the slate packs some impressive specs, and it's definitely a tablet worth considering.

 Among the many innovative upcoming tablets presented at CES 2011 in Las Vegas, there was a special announcement made regarding a future Android Honeycomb tablet, made by LG in collaboration with T-Mobile. It will be called the "G-Slate" and it will feature 4G connectivity.
