Are you owning a Sony tablet? A company's representative announced that all Sony tablets will be updated with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of May.

May 24th is the date for Sony Tablet S and P to run Android 4.0 especially in Japan. Currently, Sony has updated the Tablet S in the US (since April) with Android 4.0.

You were probably wondering what happened with the Galaxy Tab 8.9, right? After months of waiting, the Android-based tablet is expected to arrive this week. According to Engadget, the Wi-Fi of Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 will be available for pre-orders in US via Best Buy, announces Engadget.

Sony has officially unveiled its two upcoming tablets, previously known under the codenames S1 and S2. The S1 tablet will officially be known as Tablet S, while the S2 with dual-screens will be referred to as tablet P. The two Playstation-certified slates can be pre-ordered starting today, or bought directly in stores in September.

AT&T has officially announced that it will be the exclusive U.S. broadband provider for Sony's S2 tablet. The dual-screen clamshell slate will be made available on AT&T's HSPA+ network, but unfortunately, there's still no sign of a firm release date or price.

The much-awaited Sony S1 tablet has been given a pre-order date in the UK: September 1st. It looks like the PlayStation Certified tablet will become available for pre-order in Sony Center stores in the UK beginning with that date. Unfortunately, there's still no word on when the slate will hit US stores.

We've seen the Sony S1 and S2 tablets a while back in a short video, and now another such video has started to surface on the internet. This time the video comes from Notebook Italia and it is longer, so you can clearly see the two tablets up close, and even see the S1 while PlayStation Suite is running.

The two upcoming Sony tablets, the S1 and the S2, were spotted at an event held in Munich. Although the S1 tablet can only be seen in the picture below, the S2 model was actually seen running and you can watch the brief 18-second video in the source link.

After receiving official confirmation from Sony regarding the upcoming S1 and S2 slates, now the folks over at Engadget have managed to get their hands on a private note from Sony's marketing group, which has one tablet, presumably the S1, up for pre-order beginning with August and scheduled to be released towards the end of September.

The upcoming dual-screen Sony tablet has recently hit the FCC and it's definitely coming to the US in the near future. The Sony tablet was filed under the code "SGPT211US" and according to the frequencies it can be used on, it will probably be headed to AT&T.
