Toshiba expands its Excite family with three new Android tabletsPosted on: April 12, 2012
The Japanese manufacturer announced three more Android-powered slates to hit the market in the upcoming months. Part of the Excite family, probably the most exciting tablet is the largest model with a 13.3-inch display.
It is actually the largest tablet on the market so far. Does the world need such a massive slate in a market where consumers tend to focus on smaller 7-inch tablets? Apparently, Toshiba believes so.
Aside from its 13.3-inch with a good resolution of 1600x900 pixels, it is equipped with the latest in the tech, packing Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, GeForce graphics and 1GB of RAM. It is said to last up to 13 hours of battery life.
Two more models are on the way with a refresh model of the Excite 10 LE plus a smaller size of 7.7-inch slate. The Excite 10 will hit the market in early May, while the other two will see the light in June. All tablets have a thin, light and modern design with a good number of ports.
